HomeMove is Carrying A Couch from Brunswick to St Kilda. Help us raise money for charity!

April 6th, 2013

Don’t be surprised if you see a couple of red-faced removalists carrying a lime green couch along St Kilda Road this autumn. Homemove has set itself a unique challenge to raise funds for the charity, Habitat for Humanity Australia.

As part of a fundraising campaign, four Homemove employees will carry a couch, two men at a time, 12 long kilometres from Victoria Street, Brunswick to sunny St Kilda Beach. The challenge, which will be run on the 29th of May 2013, aims to raise $4000 dollars.

Proceeds will go directly to not-for-profit organisation Habitat for Humanity Australia to fund the construction of simple, decent and affordable housing for those living in poverty. The charity builds homes across Australia and around the world with the help of an army of volunteers.

October 18th, 2012

Moving homve while buying or selling a property can be a logistical nightmare. Coordinating banks, conveyancers, baby sitters and cleaners can be a stressful task. To make it all easier make sure you choose a reputable reliable funiture removals company.
When organising a removalist we recommend:
1. Once you have selected your removalist, make sure you also have a back up removals company, just in case you settlement time or day changes at the last minute and your first chioce in furniture removalists is no longer available.
2. Make sure you tell your removals team exactly what you have to move and give them a full description of the access at either end. This way your removalists can recommend the ideal start time and resources so you have everything moved out before settlement takes place.
3. Get organised for your home move. Clear clutter, box things up do some culling, it will make your life so much easier, and your removalist will put you on their favourite customer list!!
