Our Beginnings and Mission

HomeMove has grown from one achy man in a beat-up truck in 2008 to Melbourne’s most-relied-on residential and business moving and storage company today.

Our director, Vlad Stoikovich, realized that too many Australians were stuck between two bad choices of removalists: overpriced moving corporations on the one hand, and unreliable small providers on the other hand.  Vlad saw a need for a moving company that relied on brains as well as on brawn – one that blended the newest and best technology for booking, scheduling, and storage with the kind of old-fashioned customer service most people don’t associate with removalists.

We couldn’t have hired the finest people, trained them into the finest removalists, bought more trucks, added more warehouses, or invested in cutting-edge software if we were the typical box-stackers – who use their pay checks only to buy enough beer to grunt through the next move. The biggest difference between HomeMove and other removalists is we assume we will see you again – that you may need a reliable moving company for this next chapter in your life, and for the next one, and for the next one. Our goal is to make your moving experience so easy and pleasant that you turn down an offer of free moving help from a friend because you want HomeMove to handle it again.

You may be satisfied with our service, but we never are. Even with 20,000+ moves to our names, we constantly try to improve our ability to deliver what you need when you need it. We manage logistics on the go through fully integrated iPads, which means a smoother move for you. In 2015 we opened our first storage warehouse, so that we can provide the same accountability and peace of mind after your move as well. Before the paint dried on that warehouse we added a second warehouse in 2016, along with a streamlined mobile storage service.
